How to Obtain Code Enforcement Assistance
The city requires that all investigation requests/complaints be submitted on an official city investigation request / complaint form. Forms are available at City Hall. Forms can be completed by city staff over the phone. Upon request, the city will make every effort to keep a complainant's identity confidential.

How the Public can Help to Reduce the Need for City Code Enforcement
  • When considering new construction or changes regarding land use or construction, become familiar with the applicable municipal code and building codes; and, voluntarily comply with permit requirements and all local, state, and federal regulations that may apply to your situation.
  • Contact the city to obtain information regarding regulations related to zoning, land use, construction, set backs, and encroachment in public rights of way.
  • Maintain all buildings and other structures in a safe, sanitary and structurally sound condition.
  • Maintain all properties in a safe, sanitary and well kept condition; to include, cutting grass and weeds on a regular basis.
